The male
The female
This Australian King Parrots couple (endemic species) was completely free but, because we were standing under the canopy to the Blue Mountains Scenic Railway (GPS location), the parrots eyes were reflecting the structure. I then decided to remove those “urban” reflexions by re-drawing an eye part. Now, this birds doesn't feel locked in, even if they were not, and even if they are sadly half tamed with seeds… for The Tourist to be happy…
Rather than that, the picture adjustments were pretty simple, with a slight vignetting and a very slight greens enhancement. My technical mistake was to use a wide aperture on my 100-400L (means ƒ5.6 @ 400 mm). A smaller one would have generated a greater depth of field, avoiding the beak to be off focus on the second picture for example.
